The Global Renewables Alliance has named its 2026 corporate partners to accelerate renewable energy deployment and strengthen energy security.
The group includes Fortescue, Iberdrola, Arup, EDP, Hitachi, Octopus Energy Generation, Ørsted, SSE, SUNOTEC, and Vestas, the Global Renewables Alliance said.
The companies span developers, utilities, technology providers, manufacturers, investors, advisors, and energy buyers, the organisation added.
The partnership aims to strengthen the private sector voice in support of tripling global renewable energy capacity by 2030.
“Energy has become a defining issue for economic stability and competitiveness,” said Bruce Douglas, chief executive officer of the Global Renewables Alliance.
“The companies partnering with GRA this year are demonstrating that renewables, combined with grids, storage and electrification, are not only the fastest and cheapest route to decarbonisation, but the foundation of a secure and resilient energy system.”
“Volatile fossil fuel prices are a handbrake on global growth,” said Andrew Forrest, executive chairman and founder at Fortescue.
“The only real pathway forward is clear – replace fossil fuels with abundant, predictable renewable energy.”
The partners will engage in global events including London Climate Action Week, Climate Week NYC and COP31 to share business experience and demonstrate renewable energy benefits.
The collaboration will support efforts to accelerate renewables, grids and storage deployment and promote policy frameworks for investment.
The initiative aims to strengthen alignment between businesses and policymakers to unlock renewable energy growth and improve energy security worldwide.
