North Star has completed the acquisition of four service operation vessels from Edda Wind to expand its offshore wind fleet.
The company said the deal increases its offshore wind fleet to 14 vessels, strengthening its position in the European SOV market.
It added the vessels are already deployed on offshore wind contracts, providing immediate operational capacity and flexibility.
North Star noted the acquisition includes the Goelo Enabler, Boreas Enabler, Nordri Enabler and Sudri Enabler along with associated charter parties.
The company said around 160 offshore roles will continue to support the vessels as they are integrated into its operations.
“Finalising this four-vessel transaction marks another step forward for North Star in offshore wind,” said Gitte Gard Talmo, chief executive officer of North Star.
“Bringing these SOVs into our fleet broadens our customer offering, strengthens our platform and reinforces our presence in key European markets.”
“The successful execution of this deal underscores the continued confidence of our investors in our commercial capabilities and the maturity of our systems and organisation to support increasing scale,” said Fraser Dobbie, chief financial officer of North Star.
