Enercon has signed a contract with RT Enerji to supply 20 turbines for the 140MW Aydin–Denizli wind farm in Türkiye.
The agreement was signed on 22 April at the WindEurope trade fair in Madrid and the project forms part of the YEKA 5 tender, Enercon said.
RT Enerji was awarded the project by the Turkish Ministry of Energy, the company added.
The order marks the first collaboration between Enercon and RT Enerji.
Enercon will supply its E-175 EP5 E2 turbines, each with a nominal power of 7.0MW and a rotor diameter of 175 metres.
The project represents the market entry of the E-175 EP5 E2 in Türkiye.
Construction is scheduled to begin in April 2027 with commissioning expected at the end of October 2027.
“We are delighted that RT Enerji has placed its trust in us and chosen our new top model for this project,” said Udo Bauer, chief executive Enercon.
“This is our first collaboration together. With the E-175 EP5 E2, we are ready to work with new partners as well to continue our contribution to the energy transition in Türkiye.”
“We look forward to realizing the first wind farms in the country with the E-175 EP5 E2 and to contributing – together with ENERCON, through a strong partnership – to the development of a renewable energy system in Türkiye,” said Bekir Korkmaz, chief executive RT Enerji.
