Cyan Renewables has christened its new offshore wind vessel Cyan Wind Seeker in Vũng Tàu, Vietnam.
The vessel will start a 15-year charter supporting Siemens Gamesa’s work on the Hai Long offshore wind project in Taiwan, Cyan Renewables said.
Delivered ahead of schedule, the vessel will commence operations immediately, the company added.
Cyan Wind Seeker is designed as an environmentally friendly support vessel with features including a motion-compensated Walk-to-Work gangway, Dynamic Positioning capability and onboard facilities for offshore operations.
It is equipped with Siemens BlueDrive and hybrid battery systems to reduce fuel consumption, emissions and noise.
“The christening of Cyan Wind Seeker marks an important milestone for Cyan and a proud moment for our team and partners,” said Lee Keng Lin, group chief executive officer of Cyan.
“Delivered ahead of schedule, she will commence a 15-year charter immediately with a leading international offshore wind Grade 1 client – reinforcing both market demand and the strength of our long-term partnerships.”
“This vessel reflects Cyan’s disciplined focus on long-duration contracts, high-quality assets and the offshore wind sector.”
