NTR has completed a circa €57 million debt refinancing with NordLB and AIB to strengthen its Taranis portfolio financing structure.
The company said the refinancing incorporates the 48.4MW Provencialis wind farm in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region of France.
It added that the project reached commercial operations in December 2020 and benefits from a Contract for Difference with the French government.
The transaction expands the Taranis portfolio, which includes the operational Irish wind farm Ballycumber and French wind farms SPJ and Briqueville.
The portfolio also includes the Momerstroff II wind assets in France, which are under construction and expected to enter commercial operations in the coming months.
All projects are owned by the NTR Renewable Energy Income Fund II.
“This refinancing with Nord LB and AIB is a further demonstration of the strength and breadth of the Taranis portfolio and the continued confidence of leading European financial institutions in our renewable energy assets,” said Nick Forster, head of structured finance for NTR.
“The addition of Provencialis, a high-quality operational wind farm backed by a French government CfD, further enhances the diversification and resilience of the portfolio.”
