Modutec has acquired a majority shareholding in Aberdeen-based electrical services provider EOS Europe.
The company said the acquisition strengthens its in-house turnkey offering across the full project lifecycle for energy and marine clients.
Modutec added that EOS Europe employs around 40 people, bringing the combined group headcount to about 540.
EOS Europe provides services including hazardous area inspections, project management, construction, installation, testing and maintenance across the UK, USA and Norway.
The deal enhances Modutec’s position as an integrated provider to global energy and marine markets.
EOS Europe managing director George McLeod will remain in his role following the transaction.
“We are delighted to complete this deal, which brings together two highly complementary businesses and strengthens our capabilities across the energy and marine sectors,” said Brian Knowles, managing director of Modutec.
“EOS’ established presence in Aberdeen adds valuable expertise to our group and marks an important step in expanding our in-house turnkey services.”
“I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built at EOS Europe, and this marks an exciting new chapter for the business,” said George McLeod, managing director of EOS Europe.
“Modutec is a natural fit, with complementary capabilities and a shared commitment to quality and delivery.”
