Siemens Energy has decided to cease production at its Brande facility in Denmark.
The move comes after manufacturing activities at the site have been paused for the past year.
A Siemens spokesperson said: “Siemens Gamesa will focus the Brande site entirely on the most essential areas of wind technology – including technology development, service, and logistics – and will cease nacelle manufacturing during fiscal year 2026.
“This step is part of our ongoing review of the industrial footprint and our efforts to return to profitability.”
About 150 employees will be affected by the production phaseout, out of a total workforce at Brande of about 2,500 people.
The spokesperson added: “The company aims to manage the transition responsibly, reallocating staff to other suitable roles wherever possible.”
