Nadara has acquired France-based independent service provider Talveg to strengthen its in-house wind turbine maintenance and operations capabilities.

The deal, completed in January, brings 20 turbine maintenance specialists into Nadara’s expanding Asset Maintenance team, the company said.

Talveg, founded in 2020, provides services including major component replacements, up-tower repairs, incident management, performance audits, drone inspections and support for operators bringing maintenance activities in-house.

Nadara noted that Talveg’s relationship with the company began in 2023 when it sought a new maintenance partner for assets in Belgium and France after a change in its asset management supplier.

The developer added that it was also exploring options to progressively internalise operations and maintenance activities.

According to Nadara, turbine availability on some sites improved from around 60% to 95% during the collaboration.

“Talveg was a perfect fit,” said Bernardo Pinheiro, head of mergers and acquisitions and growth business programme at Nadara.

“They had the capabilities, a highly skilled team already in place, and strong familiarity with our wind farms.”

“That allowed us to accelerate our journey towards internalising O&M,” he added.

“Bringing maintenance in-house aligns strongly with our long-term approach.”

“As a long-term investor in renewable energy, the benefits compound over time, from knowledge retention and operational efficiency to improved risk management,” he noted.

Talveg’s specialists will continue supporting turbines across Belgium and France while contributing expertise to assets across Nadara’s wider European and UK portfolio.
