GRS has secured an agreement with Millennium Green Investment Group to build the 50MWp Dintel Solar photovoltaic plant in Wamba in Valladolid.
The company said this is its second project under construction in Castilla y León, where it will add 275MWp to its portfolio in the coming months.
GRS added that the new award will take its Spanish footprint to more than 900MWp across nearly 50 built and ongoing projects.
The company will coordinate with other Gransolar Group businesses to meet quality, management and planning requirements.
GRS Engineering, the construction area and PV Hardware will work on the plant, substation and evacuation line, with PVH supplying its AxoneDuo Infinity trackers.
GRS O&M will take on the operation and maintenance phase after completion.
This is GRS’s first collaboration with Millennium GIG.
The importance of promoting renewable projects with experienced partners was highlighted by Ricardo Arias, chief executive of Millennium GIG.
Arias said GRS “combines an outstanding international track record, with rigorous planning and control protocols, as well as a high level of integration in the photovoltaic segment, which gives developers confidence in the design, management and comprehensive execution of the construction cycle”.
Christian Moeckel, global commercial director of GRS, welcomed the award and said the company is undertaking the Dintel project “with the enthusiasm of the first day”.
GRS said the project strengthens its position in the Iberian solar and storage market as it continues to pursue new opportunities.
