CNOOD-Wenchong Heavy Industries (‘CWHI’) has delivered all 32 XXL monopiles for the Inch Cape offshore wind farm on schedule and within budget.
The company said the final eight units were shipped from its Qinzhou yard in December 2025 aboard the COSCO vessel Xiang Taikou and have now been offloaded at the Port of Leith.
CWHI added that the deliveries conclude a multi-month fabrication and logistics programme carried out to stringent quality and safety requirements.
“Finalising all monopile deliveries for Inch Cape is a significant achievement for our team,” said Dale Young, chief development officer of CWHI.
“It reflects the dedication of our Qinzhou yard teams, the reliability of our partners, and our shared focus on schedule certainty, quality, and safe execution in support of Scotland’s offshore wind ambitions.”
Each monopile measures up to 11.5 metres in diameter, extends up to 103 metres in length and weighs up to 2300 tonnes.
CWHI said the structures are engineered to withstand demanding offshore installation conditions.
The Inch Cape project is located off the Angus coast and is described as an important contributor to the UK’s renewable energy capacity.
