Siemens Gamesa has secured a turbine supply and maintenance contract for the Mt Cass Wind Farm in New Zealand.
The 94.6MW project will feature 22 SG 4.3-130 machines to be installed along ridgelines near Waipara in North Canterbury.

The manufacturer said the site offers strong wind resources and will generate more than 300GWh of electricity a year once operational.
Siemens Gamesa added that output from the project, which is being developed, owned and operated by Yinson Renewables, will be enough to power about 40,000 homes and avoid roughly 100,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually.
The company noted that New Zealand already sources around 86% of its electricity from renewables, with wind generation expected to more than triple by 2035.
