Nordex has secured a 189MW order from OX2 for turbines at the Fageråsen wind farm in Sweden.
The contract covers 27 N163/6.X machines to be installed on 119-metre tubular steel towers in the municipality of Malung-Sälen in the Dalarna region.
Nordex said the turbines will feature cold-climate modifications and its Advanced Anti-Icing System to support reliable performance and optimise revenue generation during harsh winter conditions.
The company added that it will also deliver a full-scope Premium Service contract with a production-based availability warranty for up to 25 years.
Till Junge, vice president region Nordic of the Nordex Group, said: “This new order provides a great opportunity to further foster the excellent relationship and strong cooperation between Nordex and OX2 in the Nordic region.”
Junge added: “With the N163/6.X and its cold-climate package including the Advanced Anti Icing System, we are delivering yet again our tried, tested and highly efficient solutions tailored to the demanding conditions in Sweden.”
The project is scheduled to start component deliveries for foundation works in 2026, with turbine installation planned for 2027.
Nordex said the wind farm is expected to become operational in early 2028.
The company added that the deal strengthens cooperation with OX2 across the Nordics and underscores its position in cold-climate markets with long-term service offerings.
