Full Circle Wind Services has secured a full-scope operations and maintenance contract for the 18MW Pentland Road wind farm on the Isle of Lewis.
The agreement with Zero Carbon Marine Ltd covers six Enercon E-82 turbines at the site west of Stornoway, the company said.
The contract includes scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, 24/7/365 remote monitoring and major component work, according to Full Circle.
Operations will be led by a new Lewis-based service team supported by the company’s wider Scotland network and its Livingston logistics hub.
Full Circle has recruited four island-based technicians to deliver local service coverage and fast response times.
The company said it was selected due to its experience with Enercon technology, established professional relationships and field team expertise.
“Remote sites bring unique operational challenges, and Pentland Road is an example of where the right planning and the right people make the difference,” said Craig Jones, business development manager at Full Circle Wind Services.
“By building an on-island team, we’ve ensured the site benefits from local knowledge, fast response times, and long-term service stability,” Jones added.
Peter Crone, director at Zero Carbon Marine Ltd, said local presence was essential for the project.
“Pentland Road is a challenging site, and having a service partner with the right experience and local presence was essential,” said Crone.
“We welcome Full Circle’s clear commitment to the Western Isles, as demonstrated by the creation of four new jobs for skilled technicians on the Isle of Lewis,” he added.
