Innagreen Investments has acquired the consented Dunbeg South wind farm near Limavady, marking its first UK renewable energy investment.
The company said the project developed by RES will feature nine turbines with a maximum tip height of 149.9m and expected output of about 38.7MW.
It added that RES will oversee development and construction and later provide technical services once the project is operational.
“This acquisition represents a significant milestone for Innagreen as we expand into the UK market, with further acquisitions expected through 2026,” said Olly Alexander, CEO of Innagreen Investments.
“Dunbeg South offers strong fundamentals and aligns perfectly with our strategy to invest in high-quality renewable energy projects,” Alexander added.
“We’re delighted to partner with Innagreen on Dunbeg South,” stated Lucy Whitford, UK and Ireland managing director at RES.
The transaction builds on the companies’ previous collaborations, including the 200MW Bekevar and 100MW Hilda wind farms in Canada.
RES said it has been active in Northern Ireland since the early 1990s and has developed or constructed 30 onshore wind farms totalling over 525MW.
