Blue Elephant Energy has acquired a 381MW onshore wind portfolio in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania from Rostock-based WIND-projekt.
BEE said the portfolio includes 37 operational wind farms totalling 260MW, four projects under construction at 46MW due in 2026, and three further wind farms at 75MW to be handed over at start of construction with commissioning planned for 2027.
The company added that the assets feature attractive locations with a stable remuneration regime under the Renewable Energy Sources Act and long-term repowering potential.
The expected annual electricity production is enough to supply around 33,000 households each year.
With the deal, BEE will expand its German wind portfolio to 533MW and grow its total portfolio to 2.1GW.
Tim Kallas, chief investment officer at BEE, said: “With this acquisition, we are securing a high-quality portfolio and tripling our wind portfolio in one of our core markets.”
Kallas added: “In addition to our already successful entry into battery storage, this is a further step toward diversifying our overall portfolio in terms of technology.”
Stephan Eckermann, lead of transaction at WIND-projekt, stated: “We are delighted to have found a strong partner in BEE with green DNA that suits us perfectly.”
Eckermann said: “We are distinguished by shared values: a northern German mentality, enthusiasm for shaping the energy transition, and a spirit of innovation and implementation.”
The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026 subject to regulatory approvals by the German Federal Cartel Office.
