Dominion’s jack-up vessel Charybdis departed the Portsmouth Marine Terminal in Virginia this past weekend to begin turbine installation, a Dominion spokesperson told reNEWS.
The newly-built jack-up has been stationed in Virginia since September, as workers have resolved a number of issues with the vessel.
The installation campaign will cover 176 14MW Siemens Gamesa turbines at the site, and is expected to run through the end of 2026.
