Ming Yang has secured a 1500MW contract from Emirates Utility Development Company for the SPPC R6 DWD Wind Project in Saudi Arabia.
The project is located in the Dawadmi area of Riyadh Province and will use 142 turbines designed for high temperatures and dust resistance, the company said.

The machines are tailored to Middle East resource conditions to support efficient development of local wind resources, according to Ming Yang.
The collaboration marks a key step in Saudi Arabia’s plan to generate 50% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030.
Ming Yang added that it will continue delivering customised clean energy solutions to support the region’s green transition.
