European Energy has won its first Contracts-for-Difference in France for two agrivoltaic parks in Saint-Voir.
The CfDs awarded by the French energy regulatory commission cover a combined installed capacity of 15MW, the company said.
The projects, Les Mathiaux and La Forge, have been under development since 2021 with designs aligned to France’s agrivoltaic regulatory framework, according to European Energy.
Nicolas König, VP and country manager for France at European Energy, said: “The selection of the Saint-Voir projects by the CRE confirms the company’s ability to develop projects that comply with national regulations while creating tangible value to local agricultural activities, while fully integrating environmental considerations.”
Construction and commissioning are scheduled for 2027.
Thorvald Spanggaard, EVP and head of project development at European Energy, said: “France represents a key market for European Energy, with a development pipeline that continues to expand across multiple technologies.”
European Energy is currently developing more than 1GW of projects in France.
