GE Vernova has signed an agreement with PPC Renewables to supply 14 6MW-158m turbines for a wind farm in Vaslui county, Romania.
The company said the deal, booked in the second quarter of 2025, adds 85MW to its Romanian onshore wind portfolio.
According to GE Vernova, the contract builds on an earlier order for 23 turbines announced in September 2024 and follows last week’s award for 42 machines for Greenvolt Power’s Gurbanesti project.
When completed, the scheme is expected to generate enough electricity to power about 38,000 households.
“We are pleased to deepen our collaboration with PPC Renewables in Romania, strengthening our commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions,” said Gilan Sabatier, chief commercial officer for GE Vernova’s onshore wind business in international markets.
