Potentia Energy has secured AUD$830m of financing to support a 600MW portfolio of wind, solar, and hydro projects across Australia.
The capacity is spread across six projects.
The debt is being provided by a group of seven major Australian and international lenders including Bank of China, BNP Paribas, The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, Mizuho Bank, Societe Generale, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and Westpac Banking Corporation.
The transaction reinforces Potentia Energy’s position as a long-term owner and operator of high-quality clean energy infrastructure and strengthens the company’s funding base as it scales its national portfolio, the company said.
The financing marks a significant milestone in the company’s evolution following its rebranding and transition to a dedicated, locally focused Australian clean energy platform.
