Exus Renewables has agreed to acquire a 69MW wind portfolio of four projects under development in North Rhine–Westphalia from Deutsche WindXperts.
The company said the portfolio has potential for capacity expansion and represents a strategic step as it broadens its asset base in key European markets.
Exus added that construction is scheduled to start in 2026 with commercial operation expected in 2028.
The acquisition coincides with the establishment of a permanent local team led by recently appointed country manager Martin Amelang.
Aygen Yayıkoglu, CBDO at Exus Renewables, said: “The Westphalia project marks a pivotal moment for Exus as we establish our investment footprint in Germany, the largest energy market in Europe.”
Lars Behrends, co-founder of Deutsche WindXperts, said: “We are very pleased to reach a successful sale of our wind portfolio, and look forward to continuing our excellent collaboration with Exus on the construction of the Westphalia portfolio as well as other opportunities.”
