Nordex Group has received a 68MW order from EnBW for the Derental-Lauenforde wind farm in Lower Saxony.
The company said the contract covers the delivery and installation of ten N175/6.X turbines on concrete hybrid towers with a hub height of 179 metres, alongside servicing of the machines.
Installation is scheduled to begin in April 2027, with the final turbine due for commissioning in September 2027.
Nordex said the contract forms part of an extended framework agreement with EnBW that was renewed in summer 2025.
Nordex chief executive Jose Luis Blanco said: “For the Derental-Lauenforde wind farm, EnBW has chosen our advanced N175/6.X turbines for the first time. We appreciate this opportunity very much.”
He added: “The turbines are specifically designed for locations with lower wind speeds and, with a hub height of 179 metres, ensure very high yields.”
EnBW chief operating officer for sustainable generation infrastructure Peter Heydecker said: “EnBW and Nordex have already implemented numerous projects together. We would like to further expand and deepen these valuable partnership experiences.”
He added: “With the current acceleration of approvals, there is also a growing demand for turbines to successfully advance the energy transition.”
