Orsted has completed its rights issue of new shares with a nominal value of DKK10 each, raising around €8bn to finish the 924MW Sunrise Wind project in the US and fund other operations.
The company said 900,816,600 new shares were subscribed in the offering and have been registered with the Danish Business Authority.

The shares are expected to begin trading and official listing on Nasdaq Copenhagen on 10 October under the ISIN code for Orsted’s existing shares.
Following completion of the offering, Orsted’s share capital has increased by DKK9,008,166,000 to a total of DKK13,211,976,800, divided into 1,321,197,680 shares.
The total number of voting rights in the company now stands at 1,321,197,680.
