Kildare Innovation Campus has signed a three-year corporate power purchase agreement with Flogas to supply renewable electricity from the 5.1MW Cuillalea wind farm in County Mayo.
The deal will cut carbon emissions at the €2.4bn redevelopment by around 2000 tonnes of CO₂ annually, according to the partners.
Flogas said the CPPA will provide budget certainty through fixed-price supply linked directly to the wind farm.
The electricity will power office and research facilities at the campus, which aims to become Ireland’s only carbon-neutral science, innovation and technology hub.
Kildare Innovation Campus chief executive Allan Shine (pictured, left) said the agreement “allows us to attract environmentally conscious tenants and investors while significantly reducing our carbon footprint”.
Flogas Ireland managing director John Rooney (pictured, second right with Michael Armstrong and Pat English, Cuillalea Wind Farm) said the partnership “demonstrates Flogas’ commitment to providing accessible and affordable renewable energy solutions to businesses across Ireland”.
The energy company has supplied gas and power to the campus since 2023.
