DRI has acquired a 112MW/448MWh battery storage project in Kozienice, Poland, from Greenvolt Group.
The deal, announced in Warsaw, gives the EU renewables arm of Ukrainian utility DTEK the rights to build the ready-to-build scheme, with permits, approvals and grid connection agreements already in place.
The project will support grid stability in Poland and, as networks integrate, also bolster Ukraine’s energy system.
DRI chief executive Murat Cinar said the acquisition “consolidates our position in the Polish energy market” and takes the company’s total storage portfolio in the country to 245MW.
Greenvolt chief executive João Manso Neto said the transaction aligns with its strategy of delivering “high-impact projects that drive the transformation of the European energy landscape”.
DRI is also progressing 15 solar and wind projects across Croatia, Italy and Romania.
