Neoen has won 46.8MWp of capacity in the latest round of French government solar tenders, including a 35.4MWp floating project in the Aube department.
The Romilly 2 floating solar farm will be installed on a former quarry lake at Romilly-sur-Seine, adding to Neoen’s 42.7MWp Romilly Saint-Eloi project commissioned in 2024.
It is the company’s second floating scheme in France following the 35MWp Matignicourt plant in Marne, awarded in 2024.
Neoen said all three new projects are due online by 2029.
The developer remains the top awardee under the PPE 2 ground-mounted PV tender programme, with 689MWp won since 2022.
Neoen France chief executive Guillaume Decaen said: “We are proud of this new success. I would like to thank all the local stakeholders who helped us obtain the necessary approval for these projects.”
He added the company will soon exceed 1GW of solar capacity won under French tender schemes.
Group chief executive Xavier Barbaro said: “This latest success demonstrates our ability to offer solutions that are both innovative and competitive.”
He added that Neoen is “proud to be developing and delivering high-quality projects that contribute to the energy transition, year after year”.
