Eurowind Energy has nine projects totalling 242MW under construction in Germany, strengthening its position in the market.
The largest scheme is the 48MW Ohrenbach wind farm, featuring eight Vestas V162 turbines in a mountainous region that requires complex engineering and close collaboration.
Other activity includes a 34MW photovoltaic project in Studenitz, alongside further wind projects at various stages of development.
The company said its German portfolio covers both internally developed and acquired projects, and also includes repowering schemes replacing older turbines with modern models.
David Christopher Stahl (pictured), Eurowind Energy country manager for Germany, said: “We are seeing strong activity in Germany, and the market is developing satisfactorily for us. Our portfolio is continuously expanding, and our operations are increasing.”
He added that Germany “remains a core market” for the company, which employs around 100 people across six offices including Hamburg, Marburg, Leipzig, Neuruppin, Rostock and Flensburg.
Eurowind’s German development portfolio currently totals just under 4GW.
