LSP Renewables teams up with mental health charity

LSP Renewables has formed a new partnership with UK-based charity Mates in Mind to champion mental health across the clean energy sector.

Mates in Mind is dedicated to improving mental health and wellbeing in workplaces across the country.

Through the partnership with the charity, every placement made by LSP Renewables will now include access to tailored mental health resources.

These materials offer practical guidance on maintaining mental wellbeing both at work and during downtime, helping individuals build resilience and seek support when needed.

A spokesperson for LSP Renewables said: “This collaboration reflects our deep commitment to supporting the mental health of every individual we place – whether they’re working offshore in challenging environments or navigating the pressures of high-performance office roles.

“In the renewables sector, many professionals face unique mental health challenges. Offshore workers often operate in isolated, high-risk environments, spending extended periods away from family and familiar support systems.

“The physical demands, unpredictable weather, and long shifts can contribute to fatigue, stress, and feelings of isolation.

“Meanwhile, office-based professionals – particularly those in high-pressure roles – may experience chronic stress, burnout, and anxiety due to demanding workloads, tight deadlines, and the constant drive for performance.

“These pressures can be compounded by a lack of work-life balance and limited access to mental health resources.”

Mates in Mind is not a crisis helpline but focuses on prevention. It provides individuals and organisations with the tools to foster a mentally healthy culture and reduce the risk of reaching crisis point.

The spokesperson added: “At LSP Renewables, we believe that mental health support should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their role or location.

“This partnership is a step forward in ensuring that all our candidates feel supported, valued, and equipped to thrive in their careers.”
