Ignitis Renewables has achieved commercial operation at the 137MW Silesia II wind farm in southern Poland.
The project in Opole Voivodeship features 38 Nordex N117/3600 turbines and can supply power for about 177,000 households annually, the company said.
Ignitis added that Silesia II is one of the largest wind farms currently operating in Poland.
Total investment in the project, including acquisition and construction costs, is expected to reach up to €240m.
The start of operations lifts the installed green capacity of parent company Ignitis Group to 2.1GW, from 1.9GW previously.
Ignitis said its strategy aims to expand green capacity from 1.4GW in 2024 to between 4GW and 5GW by 2030.
The group added that the milestone does not affect its adjusted EBITDA or investment guidance for 2025.
