Plenitude will again be the main sponsor and official energy partner of La Vuelta when the cycling race celebrates its 90th edition this summer.
The company said it will provide charging for the organisers’ electric vehicles accompanying the peloton from Turin to Madrid.
Plenitude will also continue to sponsor the white jersey, awarded to the best-ranked rider under 26. The jersey has previously been worn by young talents such as Denmark’s Mattias Skjelmose and Spain’s Juan Ayuso.
Óscar Freire, three-time world champion and seven-time La Vuelta stage winner, will return as Plenitude’s ambassador.
The firm said it will run a social media campaign during the 21-stage race to showcase its renewables projects, highlighting solar in Italy, charging in France, and wind in Spain.
During the Turin and Alba stages, a food truck from ALT Stazione del Gusto, a partnership between Enilive and Accademia Niko Romito, will also feature at the start areas.
