Island Green Power has concluded the second phase of consultation for its proposed 500MW East Pye solar project in Norfolk, England.
The more than seven-week feedback period closed earlier this week and included a series of in-person and online events to showcase the designs.
East Pye is planned for construction on land near Long Stratton and is to feature a co-located battery energy storage facility.
IGP project development manager Samantha Jones said: “On behalf of the East Pye Solar team, I would like to thank everyone who took the time to engage with our consultation, either through attending one of our events, getting in touch via the communication channels, or by providing feedback.
“We are also grateful for the opportunity to meet individually with residents and local communities living near the site to understand better their concerns first-hand.
“Now that the consultation has closed, we’ll review all the feedback alongside findings from ongoing environmental surveys to help finalise the application for development consent, which we expect to submit to the Planning Inspectorate later this year.”
The developer expects to submit a Development Consent order application in the fourth quarter of 2025.
If approved, construction of the solar farm would commence in 2028 at the earliest.
