Synera Renewable Energy Group has awarded a contract to Century Wind Power to supply foundations for the 495MW Formosa 4 offshore wind project in Taiwan.
The deal will see the local supplier deliver 35 jacket foundations and assume full coordination responsibility for the package.
SRE said the award reflects its commitment to Taiwan’s local content policy and its strategy to strengthen domestic supply chain capabilities while ensuring timely delivery.
Chairperson Lucas Lin said: “By entrusting a Taiwanese supplier with full-package responsibility for foundation supply, we are going well beyond meeting local content requirements.”
Chief projects officer Sahand Holm added: “This collaboration reflects SRE’s long-term commitment to supporting local enterprises.”
CWP chairman Wen-Hsiang Lai said: “We are grateful that SRE has awarded CWP the contract to manufacture all 35 foundations for Formosa 4. We will integrate Asia-Pacific supply chain resources and coordinate with domestic suppliers to maximise manufacturing and assembly capacity.”
Formosa 4, located off Miaoli County, is SRE’s third offshore wind farm in Taiwan.
The project secured 495MW in the Phase 3 Zonal Development auction in 2022 and received its establishment permit in late 2024.
