OX2 has acquired a 60% stake in the 60MW Duvhällen wind farm in Sweden from Cloudberry Clean Energy ASA.
The fully permitted project is located in Eskilstuna, within price zone SE3, and is expected to produce 150GWh of clean power annually from 2028.
Cloudberry will retain a 40% share in the scheme, which the companies said may also be expanded with solar and battery storage components to create a hybrid energy system.
“This is an exciting project, and we look forward to bringing it to life together with Cloudberry,” said OX2 Sweden country manager Emelie Zakrisson (pictured).
“By combining our experiences and capabilities, we aim to quickly develop new renewable energy in this region, where there’s a strong need for emissions-free electricity to support growing businesses and industry.”
Cloudberry country manager Charlotte Bergqvist said: “To now welcome OX2, one of Sweden’s most experienced developers, as a partner means that together we can realise the project and secure new, renewable electricity production for SE3, where the need is greatest.”
The developers said hybridising the project will improve supply reliability and grid resilience by leveraging the complementary profiles of wind, solar and energy storage.
