Energiekontor has reached financial close on its 23MW Nartum wind park project in Lower Saxony, Germany, with construction scheduled to begin in early 2026.
The Bremen-based developer said the four-turbine project, awarded a feed-in tariff in Germany’s February 2025 EEG tender, will be added to its own portfolio once operational.
Planned for commissioning in 2027, Nartum will feature four Nordex N149 machines with 5.7MW capacity each, hub heights of 164 metres, and a rotor diameter of 149 metres.
The site is expected to generate 66GWh annually-enough to power over 20,000 homes and offset more than 50,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year.
Grid connection requires mast replacement before linking to the high-voltage network via substation.
“Including this project, a total of eight wind and solar parks in Germany and France with a generation capacity of just over 200MW for our own portfolio are currently under construction or in preparation,” said Energiekontor chief executive Peter Szabo (pictured).
He added the company is expanding its generation portfolio “to make a lasting contribution to achieving climate targets as an independent power producer”.
