Ventyr has appointed Worley Rosenberg as preferred contractor for the offshore substation at the Sorlige Nordsjo II wind project in Norway.
The selection marks a key milestone for the flagship development and includes an early works agreement that will begin this month ahead of full EPCI execution starting in December 2025.
Ventyr, a joint venture between Parkwind and Ingka Investments, said the project is expected to supply clean electricity to around 500,000 Norwegian homes each year once operational.
Worley Rosenberg will deliver its first offshore substation EPCI under the contract, combining local Norwegian expertise with international engineering support.
“This project is about accelerating innovation in renewable energy while creating positive impact across Norwegian communities,” said Wim Verrept, project director at Ventyr.
Parkwind described the contract as a sign of growing momentum in the country’s offshore wind market and a strategic step forward for the Ventyr consortium.
