Vestas has received a 124MW turbine order from EDF power solutions North America for 20 EnVentus V162-6.2 MW wind turbines for the Haute-Chaudière wind project in Québec.
The order also inclues a 10-year Active Output Management 5000 service agreement.

“With Hydro-Québec’s goal of adding 10 GW of wind power by 2035, the province has both the sustained volume and the ambition to lead and it’s only through strong partnerships like this, that those goals become a reality.”
Vestas has an installed base of over 5GW spanning all 10 Canadian provinces, and currently services 428MW worth of operating turbines.
The company last year announced a further 347MW order currently under construction.

EDF and Vestas have partnered with Québec-based Marmen as the tower supplier, which will support 130 direct jobs in Trois-Rivières.

Delivery of the order is expected to bein in the second quarter of 2026, with commissioning scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.
