OX2 has handed over the 70MW Riberget wind farm in Sweden to independent power producer Fu-Gen.
Located in the regions of Västernorrland and Gävleborg, the 11-turbine project is expected to generate 210GWh of electricity annually, supporting local industry and boosting regional competitiveness.
OX2 said the project was developed in close cooperation with the municipality, landowners, residents and Fu-Gen, with a strong focus on biodiversity and habitat protection.
“We are proud to hand over Riberget wind farm and contribute to strengthening the renewable energy supply,” said Emelie Zakrisson, country manager Sweden at OX2.
“From the start of the project, we have had a strong focus on biological diversity and actions to preserve areas with high nature values and create biotopes for endangered species,” she said.
OX2 will continue to manage the wind farm’s technical and commercial operations.
The company is currently building 1600MW of wind power across six markets and manages renewable assets totalling 6200MW.
