GRS is the Gransolar Group’s engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor.

It has been awarded the EPC and O&M contract for the Fulham Solar Farm, the 15th project to be built by GRS in Australia.

Fulham Solar Farm is located in the state of Victoria and will provide additional electricity supply and reliability to the grid in the region east of the Latrobe Valley.

GRS has pledged to utilise local companies for labour and materials, and source steel content from Australian suppliers.

Jose Miguel Plaza Pardo, managing director of Gransolar Group in Australia, said: “We are delighted to have been selected to carry out this innovative project.

“The Fulham project is one of the first utility scale DC-coupled hybrid projects that will be connected to the grid and GRS would like to thank Octopus Investments Australia for trusting in GRS’s experience to carry out this challenging project.

“This project marks an important milestone in our partnership with Octopus, highlighting our shared commitment to advancing renewable energy solutions and driving sustainable growth.”

Sonia Teitel, Octopus co-managing director of Renewables Australia, said: “GRS has continually demonstrated a solutions-orientated approach to the Fulham Solar Farm and Battery Project.

“We look forward to drawing on their expertise throughout construction of the hybrid project and working together to deliver long-term benefits to the local community.”
