Cerulean Winds has announced two senior appointments to support the development of its 3GW+ floating offshore wind farms in the North Sea.
Tom Scrope joins as the company’s first chief financial officer.
He will focus on capital raising, shaping the company’s financial model, and managing investment structures after scaling several deep tech start-ups and securing more than £100 million in funding.
Colin Maciver (pictured) takes up the role of senior director, based in Scotland.
He will lead project development and stakeholder engagement, drawing on his previous roles as head of offshore wind development at Crown Estate Scotland and recent experience in the private sector.
Cerulean Winds is leading the Aspen, Beech and Cedar floating wind projects in the Central North Sea, with Aspen – a 1GW scheme – targeting first power in 2028–29.
The developer is working with partners including Haventus, Ocean Installer, Bilfinger and NOV to deliver the projects.
The initiative is designed to direct more than £1 billion of investment into floating wind manufacturing and service infrastructure in Scotland.
