MET Germany has appointed Sven Wolf as its new chief executive officer.
He will support the Swiss-based MET Group’s growth strategy in Germany, Europe’s largest energy market.
Wolf will take up the position on 1 July 2025, having already held leadership roles in various major energy companies during his career.
Wolf has a special focus on commercial business – supply, sales and trading – in the gas and electricity sectors, including in renewable energies.
Most recently, he has been working as general manager at SPIE Energy Solutions, where he is responsible for energy efficiency solutions in the industrial, commercial and public sectors, renewable energy generation (PV) and business growth.
Prior to that, as country manager at Iberdrola, he successfully developed and executed the PPA business for Iberdrola’s renewable assets in Germany.
MET Group chairman and chief executive Benjamin Lakatos said: “We are excited to have Sven Wolf in our team.
“MET Group has ambitious goals to expand our business activities in Germany growing both organically and inorganically.
“We expect Sven to be a significant contributor in achieving these goals.”
