Renewables company Qair has secured two energy storage projects in Poland featuring a combined power output of 200MW and energy capacity of 800MWh.
The newly contracted projects, located in Kowala and Radkowice, will ensure a stable and secure electricity supply for approximately 50,000 households, Qair said.
The long-term agreements span up to 17 years, representing the maximum duration allowed under the Polish capacity market mechanism.
As well as its Polish presence, Qair has energy storage projects in development in nine other countries, including Germany, France, Spain, the UK, Italy, Romania, Montenegro, Iceland and Greece.
Currently, Qair’s storage portfolio includes nearly 8GW of power capacity, which will be capable of delivering up to 20GWh of energy.
