The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) awarded $1.2m to four different research and development projects demonstrating new clean hydrogen electrolyser designs.
NYSERDA President and CEO Doreen M. Harris (pictured) said: “NYSERDA is proud to support these federally supported clean hydrogen projects that show promise in advancing technology that can ensure reliability in bringing clean energy to the grid.
“At the same time, clean hydrogen has the potential to be a game-changer for reducing emissions and pollution from energy intensive industrial processes and transportation.”
The four projects are located in the Peekskill, Ithaca, Cohoes, and Troy.
The largest single award of $720,000 was for Ithaca’s Ecolectro Inc.
