Eurowind Energy and Arla have entered another power purchase agreement (PPA).
The new agreement spans 10 years and ensures Arla 60,000MWh of electricity per year produced by wind and solar from two of Eurowind Energy’s upcoming energy parks.
In 2022, Arla entered a 10-year power sales agreement with Eurowind Energy from the Norre Okse So wind park (pictured), which was the first major step in the journey to ensure that Arla in Denmark meets its goal of 100% green electricity by 2025.
The new agreements ensure that Arla will collectively purchase just under 2TWh of electricity from Eurowind Energy’s energy parks during the agreement period.
Eurowind Energy develops, builds, and operates renewable energy parks, but part of the business is also selling electricity to larger customers.
In this way, larger companies can ensure a guarantee for a large amount of green electricity, which can meet the large demand for electricity that is typically characteristic of companies of a certain size.
