Vestas halted operations at a Canadian wind project earlier this month due to a nacelle detachment during installation works.
The incident occurred at the Halkirk 2 project.

In a statement the turbine maker said: “On 8 November 2024, a V150-4.5 MW Mk3f wind turbine experienced a nacelle detachment at a wind farm in Alberta, Canada.
“All site personnel are safe and accounted for, the site has been secured, and there were no injuries.
“Once the turbine has been deemed safe to access, Vestas will work with the customer and construction partner to determine the root cause.”‘
