CWP Energy has been recognised as a Long-Term Growth Champion in Europe for 2025 by Statista and the Financial Times.
The UK renewables company said it has experienced a “transformative decade” since 2013, commissioning six onshore wind farms and expanding its operational portfolio to nine developments totalling 335MW.
It has more recently secured planning permission for the 308MW Sanquhar 2 wind farm in Scotland, which will roughly double its portfolio capacity. The 432MW Scoop Hill in Dumfries & Galloway is meanwhile awaiting a planning decision.
The past decade has also seen the establishment of strategic partnerships through corporate power purchase agreements with Nestlé, Waitrose, and Edrington Distilleries, which enable businesses to source renewable electricity directly, enhancing their sustainability efforts as they strive for net-zero emissions.
CWP Energy managing director Rod Wood said: “We are delighted to be featured in this inaugural ranking. This recognition for consistent growth comes after our inclusion in the 2017 FT Top 1000, celebrating rapid expansion.
“Despite economic fluctuations, we have remained committed to advancing the renewable energy industry. As we explore new technologies like battery storage and solar, CWP Energy is excited to build on our legacy.”
