Renexia and Mingyang have signed a contract for the front-end engineering design (FEED) of the 2800MW Med Wind project in Italy.
The agreement marks another milestone in the development of the floating wind farm 80km from the Sicilian coast, which will be powered by the new Mingyang turbines.

The array will use 18.8MW machines (MySE 18-292), for which the integrated load analysis has already been started and the prototype of which is already successfully operational.
The synergy between Renexia and Mingyang is growing in the wake of a strategic cooperation for the creation of a factory in Italy capable of producing the most powerful and technologically advanced wind turbines in the world, Mingyang said.
