Energinet has awarded tenders to investigate wind conditions at five future offshore wind farms within the Danish EEZ.
The Danish Energy Agency has tasked Energinet with undertaking assessments for the development of North Sea 1, Kattegat, Hesselo South, Kriegers Flak 2 North and Kriegers Flak 2 South.
EMD International will measure the wind conditions within the two anticipated park areas using Metocean measurements from the park areas (to be provided by Energinet) and other relevant measuring stations at Kattegat and Hesselo South.
C2Wind will also carry out the same tasks at Kriegers Flak 2 (North and South) North Sea 1.
The site wind conditions assessment will result in a report for each area, which are later to be certified by an independent third party and will be a part of the technical basis for the future public tenders on the development of the offshore wind farms.
