Ethical Power has appointed Rachel Ruffle (pictured) as chief operations officer of its global business.
Ruffle’s most recent role was as chief executive of EMEA and group executive board member at RES.
She was also a member of The Renewables Infrastructure Group’s (TRIG’s) Advisory Committee since its inception in 2013 and a director of industry trade bodies: Wind Europe, Energy UK and Renewable UK.
She said: “If we are to transition our energy system to net zero and reduce energy costs, then now is the time for a purpose-led organisation like Ethical Power to scale up their operations and meet the demand for clean, green and low-cost renewable energy.
“I’m very excited to step into the role of COO of this exceptional company. Ethical Power is well positioned to deliver on the green energy transition thanks to its vertically integrated capabilities.
“It has shown an incredible pace of growth so far, and it’ll be a great privilege to use my experience to drive further progress. In the years to come we can achieve new heights of success and innovation, for people and the planet.”
Thomas Kneen, chief executive and founder of Ethical Power Group, added: “This is an incredibly important appointment for Ethical Power, and I’m thrilled to have Rachel fill the post.
“She’ll play an instrumental role in driving our growth and delivering on our ambitions for 2024 and beyond.”
