Mark Foley is leaving his role as chief executive of EirGrid.
The grid operator for Ireland stated that Foley (pictured) has decided to retire from his role as CEO.
Martin Corrigan is stepping up as interim chief executive and a formal selection process to select a new chief executive will commence shortly.
Brendan Tuohy, Chairman of EirGrid, said: “On behalf of the Board, management and staff, I want to thank Mark for his leadership of EirGrid for the past six years.
“His commitment and contribution to the company is widely acknowledged and much appreciated.
“Mark has been instrumental in leading EirGrid through a period of growth and change and managed the country’s grid network through some challenging times.
“We wish him well for the future.”
