Conquest has entered the Finnish onshore wind market following the acquisition of two farms with a combined capacity of 182MW from BHM Renewables-owned Winda Energy.
Construction is expected to begin at both sites by the end of the year with Winda managing the projects before commercial operations begin by around 2026.
The transaction includes cooperation on additional onshore wind schemes totalling 500MW. These further opportunities have been costed at approximately €1bn to be deployed between 2026-28.
Conquest MD Frederic Palanque said: “Conquest is thrilled to enter, in partnership with Winda Energy, into sustainable assets in a market recognised for its robust renewable energy fundamentals and its ambitious net zero roadmap.”
Winda Energy CEO Tuomas Hooli added: “We are happy to cooperate with Conquest, a dynamic and reliable partner, on our growth journey. The transaction secures the completion of some of our flagship projects over the next years, enabling us to extend our contribution to Finland’s green energy transition.”
